City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department

About

The Parks & Recreation Department’s mission is to support a vibrant, active quality of life for all ages, abilities, and interests of the Santa Clara community through excellent parks and recreational facilities, community services, programs and events.

The City of Santa Clara will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services, and activities. For example, individuals with service animals are welcomed in the City of Santa Clara facilities, even where pets are generally prohibited.

The Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship Program offers resident youth financial assistance for registration fees to ensure all young people have equal access to the benefits of participating in recreation activities. The Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship Program continues to “Create Community through People, Parks and Programs” by focusing on its mission to provide positive recreation experiences, promote health and wellness, increase cultural unity, strengthen community image and sense of place, and foster human development.
